Dr. Carin Sunderman is an Arizona native, born and raised in Phoenix.
She attended the University of Arizona and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Sciences. She then attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins and graduated with honors from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Sunderman has practiced veterinary medicine in the Valley for 17 years before joining the San Tan Animal Hospital team. Her professional interests focus on preventative medicine and wellness, specifically dentistry, and most importantly preserving the quality of life for her patients and their families. She feels client education and communication are indispensable in achieving these goals and loves talking with clients about their pets.
Dr. Sunderman's time away from work is spent with her husband, their 2 school-age sons, their two dogs (a big and a little), their cat (the boss), and their two horses. She enjoys anything involving the great outdoors, especially hiking and convincing her garden to survive the Arizona climate.
